  1. a great bit of kit. but lets be clear ecobee do not manufacture for the uk market as the product runs on 24 volt AC. uk heating systems run on mains of nominal 230 volts AC. therefore you need to build a small power supply with transformer 230/24vac, 6VA is sufficient. also a 24vac slave relay with coil suppression is needed. the connection diagram can be found on the ecobee website. my system is Y-plan so i mounted parts in a box next to the 10 way terminal box in the airing cupboard. however PLEASE don’t attempt to do this if you don’t know what your doing – i am an electrical engineer. finally was disappointed with ecobee CHAT and SUPPORT via email who couldn’t answer loading requirements on the W1 output to the relay coil required to start the boiler. the 24 vac connects to Rh and C. good luck – its a bit tricky. KSS
